Section 17
Duration of Service
(1) Except as mentioned in Section 11, the age limits of officers working in the Nepali Army shall be as mentioned in Schedule-3.
(2) The term of office of the officer of the Nepalese Army subject to sub-section (1) shall be as mentioned in Schedule-4.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (2), if the Commander-in-Chief recommends to the Government of Nepal that the service of an officer who has served for a long period and is physically capable is necessary for the Nepalese Army, the Nepalese Government may extend the term of office as per Schedule-5. can
